The work wich I choose is in 9.44. It represents a black man who have a mark on his head: it is the Nike's mark. We don't see the face of the man, just his gallant. It is like a scar in her head. As if the mark had appropriated the black man, the human. It is her object, her produce.
There are many stereotyps about black people like Black men are
sporting especially in athletism. So, many advertisings use it to sell their products.
It is shocking ! We are supposed to know the history and so to know the history of the colonization. This picture reproduce the same. Nike use a stereotyp top make monney, theyexploit people for their business, it is just not human to treat people like that and not to consider them.
I like this picture because it is pertinent. The mark is almost invisible as if it was normal, as if it was integrated into the crane of the black man.

According to Thelma Golden, work is a representation, a mean to talk. To talk about the power, about the society, about people, about black people, about the history especially. Work represent many interrogations about the society and about a possible changement. It is a good expression's mean. Art can change the vision that we have. Art allows to open our minds on the world, on our world !
Artists have a voice, say something, with art we can listen this voice. For Thelma Golden, Museum is a important place in the society to protest, it is a space of exposition to talk. It is a place where we are confronted with the reality. For her, museum is place to ask questions and to find some answers. This place encourage the dialogue, conversations between people. So, this is a place allows to change and plays an important role in a society.

Thelma Golden says:
“Think about artists, not as content providers,.... but again as real catalysts (for change).” .
They want to explain, to show their ideas. They are catalysts because they encourage dialogue beetween people and it is really important because people don't enough ! Sometimes because they are afraid, because they don't dare, because they d'ont want ! And artists are here to provocate
this dialogue, to show that people can speak ! It is their right: expression's right: people should'n't forget that and artists are here to remember that and to encourage to think, to consider, to change !
